Safety remains, as ever, our primary concern

Dorset Council Emergency

So says Dorset Council while removing a zebra crossing which was kindly donated by a contentious resident, according to an article in The Telegraph.

What they really meant was the convenience of selfish drivers is more important than the rights of people to cross a road in safety.

This will be the same Dorset Council who declared a Climate and Ecological Emergency in May 2019. Obviously their green agenda doesn’t stretch as far as encouraging people to travel on foot or for cars to give way to vulnerable road users. Which makes me think they don’t really care about the environment at all.
